Tightrope Coffee

At this charming café, you're enveloped in a welcoming aroma, a fundamental check for any eatery, and more so for a café. While compact, the space is snug and inviting, a cozy retreat from the hustle outside. The music, albeit not unpleasant, creates a jarring note against the backdrop of the cafe's atmosphere, settling into a puzzling Average on the harmony scale. The Himalayan Latte stands out with its Above Average taste, distinguishing itself in the landscape of similar beverages. It may not be the pinnacle of coffee perfection, but it certainly rises above the commonplace offerings. The Sparkling Lemonade, with just the right touch of sweetness, refreshes without the edge of tartness, an Average contender in the world of fizzy refreshments. The Macha Latte provides a satisfactory sip, though it lingers at an Average rating when reminiscing the authentic Macha experiences of Japan. The Parmesan Truffle Fries, anticipated as a tantalizing appetizer, unfortunately, land in the realm quality of "Poor”. They arrived not only as a late afterthought but also failed to deliver on their aromatic promise. The cheese was present, yet its flavor was absent, and the elusive truffle became a rarity, making the experience underwhelming. The main dishes partially salvaged the dining experience. The Torikatsu, with its Above Average taste, brought a pleasant surprise with its satisfying crunch and tasteful pairing with fermented egg. Meanwhile, the Beef Tapa was squarely Average, providing a taste that was neither exceptional nor disappointing. In the end, the potential seen in select offerings was overshadowed by the forgettable fries. They pulled the overall impression down to an Average experience, marred by a Poor-rated dish. Thus, the café earns a 3-star rating, for an experience that, while not soaring to great heights, was regrettably anchored by its lows.

Good coffee, nice ambience, and great interior. Tried their sea salt caramel latte - it was good, just that their beans are more on the acidic/sour side, which is not to my liking. It triggers my acid reflux. Would love if they had it more on the roasty/bitter side. I loved the concept of their open bar where you can see how your coffee is being prepared. And their coffee appliances looks so premium. We just went there for a quick coffee break before heading home.

We went here on a Saturday afternoon, wasn't as packed as I expected. Place is nice and has a cozy atmosphere. Their coffee and how they serve it is really pretty and instagrammable(⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠) too bad, I was here for affogato but they didn't have it that day. Fries was served late too, if I didn't make a follow up for it, it would've been served after an hour😵😵

Got an iced pour over (Nacimiento, honduras) and an iced white with oat milk for the hot day. The flavour of iced white was delicious with the espresso well extracted. Cafes don't do iced pour overs very well in my opinion but Tightrope coffee was able to dial the extraction. I generally prefer a little more extraction but the coffee came out with clarity and the flavours identifiable.

Availed their Iced Mocha, and Bacon and Mushroom Alfredo at their Kasambagan branch. The place is cramped, but is cozy and is perfect for solo goers. Meals are priced closely similar to its neighboring cafes like Anthony’s and Tamp. Not entirely a fan of their Bacon and Mushroom Alfredo, but still had an enjoyable time snacking on it. It’s a difference in preference, but their pasta is great regardless. I am fond of their coffee; probably one of the best I’ve tasted so far. Though it is relatively expensive considering its size, in comparison to other cafe’s. Nevertheless, will definitely try more of their drinks. Dried flower bouquets are available at the cafe, from which I’ve seen, ranges from P500 to P1000. Staff are pleasant to converse with, and are accommodating. P.S. Their coffee is served with a glass of water, which I really appreciate.
